Chev. Richard Louis Soloway, KTJ
Richard Louis Soloway is a native New Yorker and was educated
in Merrick, New York and New York Institute of Technology.
He is married to Dame Donna Anne Moyersoen Soloway and they
reside in Manhattan.
Chev. Soloway, Knight Protector of the Priory of St. Michael
and St. George, the Sovereign Military Order of the Temple
of Jerusalem, was knighted by H.E. COL. CHEV. David Nels
Appleby, GCTJ, GMTJ Grand Prior XIV, of the Grand Priory of
the United States in an investiture held on November 20,
2004 in New York City.

Chairman of the Board and CEO of NAPCO Security Systems, Inc.,
(Nasdaq: NSSC); a worldwide leader in patented electronic and
mechanical security system design and manufacturing. Mr.
Soloway’s innovative development of security and surveillance
technology spans from the New York City Lindsay administration
when he provided a customized security system integrating
proprietary technology and available manpower for teachers in
the New York City School System, to providing state of the art
electronic security for the presidential jet, Airforce One.
Mr. Soloway received Ernst & Young’s “Entrepreneur of the
Year” award for 2001.
Mr. Soloway began designing and manufacturing electronic sound
and light equipment for rock bands in the late ‘60’s for such
notable artists as Eric Clapton, Jim Morrison and the Monkees.
In the early 70’s, His entrepreneurial ingenuity identified a
growing need for commercial and residential security, and in
1972, he founded NAPCO Security Systems, Inc., as a public
company on Long Island, New York.
Today, NAPCO’s stock market capitalization is over $100
million and it employs more than 800 employees worldwide. Mr.
Soloway is the holder of numerous electronic design and
manufacturing patents in the security industry.
