CMDR Chevalier John Francis Vance Cupschalk, KCTJ
Commander Cupschalk, USN, is a native New Yorker. He received both his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Journalism, and Master of Arts in International Studies from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. His concentration was in Middle East affairs, and he received the Graduate Certificate in Strategy and Policy. He presently works at PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York City, where he has been for the past 11 years.
He is an active member in the Navy Reserves, where some of his assgnments have included USS Pensacola, Special Operations Command Europe, Harbor Defense Command (naval coastal warfare and amphibious operations), and currently Civil Military Operations for Commander Second Fleet.. He was deployed to Bahrain for two years following the 9/11 terrorist attacks and asssigned to the Friendly Forces Coordination Center (naval coalition in the Arabian Gulf) at Naval Central Command/Fifth Fleet.
Commander Cupschalk is a member of the Naval Order ot the United States, where he is the commander of the New York Commandery, Navy League of the United States, St. George's Society of New York, and is an usher at St. Thomas Church, Fifth Avenue.
