Chev. Barry Christopher Howard, KTJ

Barry Christopher Howard was born at Baltimore, Maryland, the son of Dale Harley and Margaret Catherine Howard.  He was married at Westminster, Maryland on September 7, 1991 to the former Amie Joan Palumbo.  She is the daughter of the late Anthony Joseph Palumbo and Joanne Kay Sibigroth.  Rev. and Mrs. Howard reside in Arvada, Colorado with their four children.

Rev. Howard was invested as Chevalier of the Order on November 20, 2004 at Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue, by H. E. Col. Chev. David Nels Appleby, GCTJ, GMTJ, Grand Prior of the Autonomous Grand Priory of the United States.  Chevalier Howard is a recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal, awarded at Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue, in November, 2004.

Rev. Howard attended Regis University where he graduated summa cum laude, with a B.S. in Business Administration.  He is a member of Alpha Sigma Nu and Phi Theta Kappa honor societies and is currently completing his graduate degree in Theology.

Rev. Howard is a member of the India House Club, Squadron A Association, and City Tavern Club.  He is an Eagle Scout, classical guitarist, antiquarian book collector and dealer, Competent Toastmaster, and competitive chess player (1567 rating).  Rev. Howard is a member of Mensa, Intertel, and Colloquy, and a former vice president of the Cerebrals Society.  He has traveled to fifty nations on five continents.

Rev. Howard is Vice President and CFO of an international ministry with 137 employees, two domestic campuses, and four international operating locations.  He is a founding board member and officer of the international relief and development agency, World Advocates.  Rev. Howard is also an active options day trader. 

Before leaving Maryland to serve full-time in the ministry, Rev. Howard was a finalist for a Congressional nomination to West Point Military Academy, as well as a finalist for admission to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
